Why do I get hay fever in the winter?

In winter the levels of pollen around the country are low due to weather conditions. You may get symptoms similar to a hay fever allergy however if you get these symptoms in winter it is more likely you are allergic to dust, animal hair or pollution.

You may assume hay fever is more common in rural areas, however, with higher levels of dust and pollution in urban areas, symptoms like hay fever may be more commonly found in urban areas during the winter.

To find out if you are allergic to pollen or something else,

take our pollen test for a recommendation.
