About us
Our names are Aoife Maher, Aoife Devlin and Marianne Kelly, welcome to our website. We entered the BT Young Scientist competition, held in Dublin, with a vision.
Our vision is to provide a service where hay fever sufferers can gain an in-depth knowledge of their allergies and how to cope with them.

What makes our website stand out?
Our website includes lots of useful information and services to help hay fever sufferers cope with their allergies. It brings all this information together in one place.
My personal experience:
Aoife Devlin.
I get hay-fever in May or June. I have a grass pollen allergy. I try and make an effort to take antihistamines but often I don’t notice that my dad is cutting the grass until it is too late. As I live in the countryside I often get hay-fever when the farmers nearby are cutting hay.
Both my mum and my granny also get hay-fever. I hope that with our hay-fever aid, they will both find it easier to cope with it, even if it is hard to predict when a farmer will decide to cut hay, or when dad decides to enlist me in stacking the hay on his brother's farm!

My personal experience: Aoife Maher.
I am allergic to grass and tree pollen. This has greatly affected my enjoyment of summers. They were, and still are mostly spent indoors, under the covers surrounded by tissues, trying not to claw my eyes out because they are so itchy.
I have searched extensively on the internet as well as read many articles, consulted doctors and even a naturopath to gather information about hay fever, and its treatments. I have tried and tested remedies and preventions. All the information I have gathered has been included on our website. I hope this website can help others when their pollen season is approaching.
My personal experience: Marianne Kelly.
Although I don't have hay-fever myself, my brother has suffered with it his whole life. During the dreaded summer months, I often see him running towards the kitchen presses, tearing open yet another packet of antihistamine. As I result of all the research we have done here, I now know that my brother suffers from an allergy to grass pollen. I know this website will be a great asset to him.
